Tips and tricks for making money selling porn with blogs and websites

Why it is difficult to market porn for women

I’m female, I make porn blogs, so you may ask why none of those blogs contain porn for women. Why instead are they full of images which are unlikely to attract many women, such as girls with big boobs being pounded hard all ways by guys with great big dicks?

Truth to tell, despite searching a wide range of sponsors, I have yet to find any women’s porn which interests me, leave alone is capable of turning me on.

Most of the so-called ‘porn for women’ appears to be full of ’sexy pics’ of ‘hunks’ posing in various stages of undress. But there’s something about these ‘hunks’ which gives me the feeling they are gay…. Now, I have nothing against gay sex at all; some of my best surfers are gay, but gay men don’t turn me on (well, not the ones who pose for these particular ’sexy pics’ anyway).

There appears to be some sort of agreement (drawn, no doubt, from flawed surveys) among the few sponsors who offer ‘women’s porn’ that women are turned on by fantasy, while men are turned on by visual images. Take that vastly overworked assumption and add it to statistics which show that women buy more books and magazines than men, and ‘porn sponsors for women’ seem to have come up with the idea that women’s porn should consist of sexy pictures and access to ‘romantic fiction’,

But how many women are going to pay good money to subscribe to a porn site offering them only these things, when they can get all of them freely by reading erotic blogs and buying glossy magazines?

There is one sponsor in the ‘women’s porn’ niche who I do promote, And that’s Sssh.com. They offer quite a reasonable selection of porn for women, including erotic photos, sexy movies, hot audio stories and ‘forbidden fiction’. Okay, their site is still in the ‘women want to read’ format, but their videos are explicit and at least most of the guys in their movies and pictures do act as if they are straight… The owners of Sssh.com are all women, who say they are “exploring the depth of female sexuality” and I guess they are trying their best. They offer affiliates a whole range of FHGs of pictures of the day and free movie clips.

But so far Sssh.com has done nothing for me in terms of conversions. Some of this will be down to the fact that the only place I promote them is on one general erotic blog (not ‘pretty girl’) which I do not advertise in many places. It does have its regular readers, but I have no way of telling whether or not any of them are female.

At one time I thought it could be a good idea to set up a ‘porn for women’ blog, However, to do that I would have needed more sponsors than Sssh.com, as, although their member’s area has loads of content, the free content they currently provide to affiliates would not be enough to keep a blog running for very long. So I let the whole thing slide and got on with promoting my big busted girls

But my interest in perhaps making another attempt to market porn for women was peaked today when I read an article in The Daily Californian, entitled Fury of a Woman’s Porn. The writer was talking about her research into porn for women and she too found it extremely limited.

Rebecca C. Brown, like me, is a feminist who has no problems with liking porn. She just wants to see porn that intelligent, free thinking women can watch without feeling they are being insulted. As she said:

it’s annoying that almost all porn involves women being assaulted in some way by a really big penis. There’s nothing empowering about a cock slap.

And that’s one of the main problems.

Many women watch porn - ordinary porn that men watch. They just get fed up with hearing or seeing the female pornstars being called sluts and ‘having all their orifices violated’. They know it’s a ploy to get more guys to watch the videos. They know that many of the female pornstars are doing okay (many make more money than male pornstars) and that a lot of the language is just a facade.

But my guess is that it makes many women feel a little uneasy. Just think about it. If you were a woman watching your male partner getting turned on by a porn movie depicting a woman ‘being violated’ would it make you feel that good?

I tried to find something more than Sssh.com just to prove to myself that Rebecca C. Brown could have looked further for porn for women and found something she would have liked, but my search was unproductive. I gave up after looking at a few sponsors offering this niche because they obviously didn’t have a clue.

I’ll give you a couple of examples. These are from different sponsors offering ‘porn videos for women’. Just look at a some of these movie titles:

Blackmailed And Buggered
Hitchhiker Girls In Heat
Addicted To Boobs
Naughty Nurses Gangbanged

I can’t see those working well in selling porn to many women can you?

So for now I’ve given up my search for a sponsor who provides porn that I can market to women and actually make some money out of.

However, if anyone reading this has a sponsor who doesn’t fit the above criticisms feel free to let me know. I have to tell you though that I won’t be holding my breath.
